Spring Break Girls Trip Womens Vacation Great Group Cruise Premi QSP EDC Folding Pocket Knfe, D2 Blade, 4" G10 handle, Left and R This knife was a real surprise at it's price. For around it's very well made. Good grinds, nicely finished g-10 handle, solid lock up, nice jimping. It's a nice size for most uses. The only thing I don't like is the thumb stud, it's too pointy and if you're using the knife repeatedly it creates a hot spot on your thumb. This is an issue if you use your knife for work. A flatter headed stud would be more comfortable and QSP could easily select a more thumb friendly stud to improve this knife. I deducted a star for that. 440c should be decent steel for a user knife. Close competition for the Ontario Rat folder as a budget EDC. I'll update after more use if anything changes. After a month of use, deployment is my only complaint. A more comfortable, less pointy stud would be great. Also, better access (bigger cutout) around the stud would help. Or a little handle beveling around the stud. The Parrot is a solid budget pocket knife. It has a nice color options, a good G10 handle, and a solid blade. I personally like the squarish look and the inoffensive, non-intimidating blade shape. The only quibble I have is that the jimping (blunt serrations) on the top of the blade, designed to help you get a closer grip, are very sharp. They tend to hurt the thumb when you're bearing down (especially if you happen to have a pre-existing callous or cut there that the jimping can dig into). You can probably file or sand them down a bit to help with that. The action is als not all that great. It's certainly plenty smooth and will beat out a lot of budget knives, but there are some that are better, which leads to my main point:Some of it's major competitors in the budget EDC pocket knife range--the CKRT Drifter most notably, but also knives such as the Kershaw Chill--have much, much better action... and they are just as good or better in other respects as well. Personally, I can't see any reason to buy or carry this over the Drifter, unless you really like its design or really dislike the Drifter's design.Awesome knife, quality is excellent! This knife in my opinion is better than the bug out by bench made. I sent the bug back. I'll be buying more of these. Everything you read good in these reviews makes total sense to me, and I agree and would recommend. At this price point it's an unbelievable deal! Sharp as a razor out of the box, copper washers are smooth, sure no bearing, but for this price the action is smooth. I did put a couple drops of good oil. Blade is centered, liners are clean, handle G-10 good as any to 5 dollar knife.440c steel isn't bad at all, I like to keep my knives serviced and sharpened anyway, holds a great edge. Honestly, I'm blown away for this price, and I have knives up to 0 bucks. I believe over 0 there is a return on value, I don't go with those where you are paying for a name. So cost is important. I'm really happy I ran across this knife maker, I'm sure I'll be eyeing some more. For ish the value is great. Nice sturdy build quality, good materials for the price, good design, attractive, a few color choices, light weight and compact, with a useful blade shape. My only knock is the thumb stud location. For my L/XL hands it's not in a great location to flip open with my thumb, but for smaller hands it's probably nice. I'm not a thumb stud fan in general as I prefer flipper tab. This is a must own to me. I'll probably make Christmas presents out of more of these. While CRKT's squid is also a great choice for a quality small folding knife around , this give you a little more length on the handle which is nice and also QSPs is lighter in the pocket. Both get 2 thumbs up from me!
I did not expect to find this blade, but the moment I saw I got it. I have the cheaper version and I liked it. This one I love it. Simple shape, looks more like a butter knife that something else, but it is effective. I only replaced the clip with the Civivi one, and now it looks better. Great quality and craftsmanship, just needed a little tune-up and some oil, and it is ready for action.
Smooth action, comfortable handle, just long enough without being too long, for me anyway. You get a lot of value for your money with this one. Quality is top notch for the price range. Brass washers which work nicely. G-10 is durable. Says D2 on the side of mine but I’m suspect of it. That aside it’s held up great as an EDC for the past few months.
Highly reccomend this knife to anyone! Don't walk to buy this knife RUN!For a light use folder, at this price, and quality, good luck finding a better deal!Get it before they raise the price! YES, its as good! This and the Kabar dozier!!!!Best bang for the buck!Thinking about getting more, in other colors, this would make a great, gift knife!Fit and finish, butter smooth, nice lock up, and centered, no hot spots, nice pocket clip, sharp out of the box!Get a couple!!!!Excellent knife for . I was in the market for an inexpensive, moderate sized knife for work that didn't look overly aggressive, as I work with the public. This blue handled version works perfectly for that.Looks good, the fit and finish is great for the price point. Blade lock up is secure, and the action is very smooth Blade is nicely centered. Fits in the hand well with no hot spots. Broke down a few cardboard boxes at work. The blade came reasonably sharp, but I'll be putting a finer edge on it later with a ceramic and strop. All and all a good buy for the price.
